Dominic’s practice encompasses all aspects of chancery law with a particular focus on real property, and wills, probate and trusts.Dominic’s property practice covers disputes concerning adverse possession, easements, boundaries and covenants as well as disputes over co-ownership of land and claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996, and claims involving proprietary estoppel. He has a great deal of experience in the various property tribunals, in particular the Land Registration Division of the Property Chamber of the First-tier Tribunal, being the author of a book about the previous incarnation of the tribunal, the Adjudicator to HM Land Registry (published by Bloomsbury in 2013). Dominic also undertakes the full spectrum of commercial and residential landlord and tenant work.On the probate side Dominic’s practice includes disputes over the validity of wills, applications for removal or substitution of personal representatives, rectification claims, claims for the restitution of estate property and solemn form probate claims, and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975. Dominic has also undertaken drafting work in the field of wills and probate. Dominic has experience with claims in the Court of Protection.Dominic also undertakes a range of commercial work, including contractual and tortious claims, sale of goods, debt, and claims for return of goods.Dominic regularly presents seminars on matters falling within his areas of specialty and his happy to discuss the provision of in-house training. Dominic recently took part in a day-long seminar dealing with all aspects of agricultural law.

Julia is the head of the Family Team at Parklane Plowden Chambers.Specialising in Family Law for over 30 years, Julia has vast experience of dealing with a wide range of people and cases. Her practice includes all family finance work and children law disputes and she often represents clients in both disciplines.  Julia has a considerable record of success in contested cases and a fearsome reputation for cross-examination and uncovering concealed assets. Justin is a high value and complex personal injury and clinical negligence specialist.He also undertakes negligence claims of a more general nature on behalf of a large statutory undertaker, which has included defending a group action in a high court action arising from airborne pollution of a large residential area.Justin was appointed a Deputy District Judge (Civil) in 2015.

Louise is a highly regarded specialist family law practitioner, practising in public and private law children work. She  is one of the leading juniors practising on the North Eastern Circuit in this field, being given the distinction of a Band 1 rating in the 2020 Chambers and Partners Guide.Louise is frequently instructed in care proceedings concerning allegations of serious non accidental injury and sexual abuse, often in the High Court. Philippa services all aspects of public and private children law, before all levels of tribunal within the  Family Court, including regular work within the High Court.Within the public law remit, Philippa represents Local Authorities, parents/family members and the Children’s Guardian, within applications relating to care , adoption and the Inherent Jurisdiction, involving serious inflicted injury, sexual abuse (including historic), fabricated/ induced illness, female genital mutilation (FGM); child death, one parent killing the other parent and child sexual exploitation, as well as issues of  adoption breakdown and deprivation liberty within Local Authority care. She is versed in issues relating to Forced Marriage and associated nullity of marriage.Philippa is experienced in proceedings where one or more of the parties lacks capacity and/or where parties/witnesses have a learning disability.Philippa frequently represents family members within private law applications relating to child arrangements orders, change of name, and permanent removal from the jurisdiction.
