Capsticks Solicitors host a Mock Tribunal with the support of specialist employment barristers
Specialist Parklane Plowden Barristers, Dominic Bayne, Lucy Bairstow and Anna Datta helped Capsticks Solicitors host a Mock Tribunal to over 80 delegates which included HRBPs and HRAs from the Police, NHS Trusts and Ambulance Service Trusts.
The Mock Tribunal involved a Claimant who was claiming Constructive Unfair Dismissal, Direct Sex Discrimination and Victimisation. It ran exactly as a Tribunal would with Solicitors from Capsticks acting as the three witnesses, a tribunal panel made up of the Judge (Dominic Bayne) and his two wing members, a Solicitor from Capsticks and one of the attendees.
The full day’s training included a whole group discussion and break out discussions interspersed within the Tribunal process. Following the evidence and submissions from Respondent Counsel (Lucy Bairstow) and Claimant Counsel (Anna Datta), Judgment was given and there were final discussions both about the Tribunal and generally relating to preparation for and conduct at Tribunals.
Many thanks to the team at Capsticks Solicitors and to all those who attended.
