Workplace Investigations

The Investigations team at Parklane Plowden offer independence and impartiality when navigating the complex and sensitive area of workplace investigations. The team can assist in both fact finding and, where appropriate, advice and guidance in conducting a robust and sound workplace investigation. Use of our team can: help avoid conflict or risks to privileged advice by a businesses’ usual legal team; limit risks of reputational damage, and avoid adverse publicity.

Each member of the team specialises in employment law more generally and so understands the competing needs of businesses, including time pressures, internal HR compliance, external regulatory compliance, workplace harmony and potential adverse publicity.

“Parklane Plowden is renowned for its work tackling employment law matters of significant sensitivity and complexity including discrimination, harassment and victimisation claims… The set maintains a broad client base which includes claimants and private or public sector respondents.”

Workplace Investigations

The use of our team can:

  • help avoid conflict or risks to privileged advice by a businesses’ usual legal team;
  • limit risks of reputational damage, and;
  • avoid adverse publicity.

Internal investigations and workplace grievances require careful handling and often it is necessary that they are undertaken externally. Our dedicated team of barristers specialise in the provision of these services.

Our team has experience in conducting investigations covering issues such as whistleblowing, serious sexual assault, fraud, sporting irregularity and misconduct within public authorities. We can assist with a range of matters including those concerning senior and executive level employees, collective disputes, compliance/regulatory matters and allegations of discrimination.

Each member of the team specialises in employment law more generally and so understands the competing needs of businesses, including time pressures, internal HR compliance, external regulatory compliance, workplace harmony and potential adverse publicity.

We are proud of our dedicated and highly experienced employment law team headed up by Dominic Bayne and Andrew Sugarman.
