Leila Benyounes spoke at the Action Against Medical Accidents conference in Manchester.
Leila discussed disclosure and expert evidence, and covered areas including:
- Obligations to disclose and management by coroners
- Typical documents to consider on disclosure
- When should a coroner appoint an independent medical expert
- Instructing the expert: Considerations for the coroner’s court, not civil claim
- How to deal with causation when there is no clear cause of death
