About

Adam qualified as a Solicitor in 2014, having obtained a training contract at a well-known firm in Liverpool before obtaining his Higher Rights of Audience in 2017 and being called to the bar in 2019.

Between 2017 and 2023, Adam worked as part of a dedicated in-house Advocacy team at a large Defendant firm where he was the head of the team’s Ministry of Justice Portal section, a role he carried out alongside a significant volume of trial work and a busy paperwork practice.

Adam has gained experience far beyond his qualified years in the personal injury sphere and is comfortable in dealing with all types of work. In his most recent role, he was regularly instructed to defend the interests of insurance companies at CCMCs, complex interlocutory hearings and at trial but he is equally comfortable in representing Claimants.

Adam is a forceful and persuasive advocate who regularly delivers excellent results through forensic cross-examination, particularly in low-velocity impact cases – including where findings of fundamental dishonesty have been made.

Areas of Expertise

Adam has a wealth of experience in cases of this type, having been brought into his prior role at a time where his team was embedded within a counter fraud team. As such, he been regularly instructed to settle pleadings and to appear at trial and in cases which feature issues in relating to fraud rings, causation of injury, low velocity impacts, phantom passengers and induced or staged collisions.

From 2017 onwards, Adam has developed a broad injury practice and is comfortable in dealing with matters across the full spectrum of claims, whether on the Fast Track or the Multi Track.

Adam prides himself on his drafting work and he has significant experience in settling pleadings on a wide variety of issues and valuations. Additionally, he has been regularly asked sought after for his advice on complicated cases; advice he aims to provide swiftly, but also comprehensively and clearly.

Adam also has experience of dealing with trials which involve credit hire.

Adam has a particular interest in Clinical Negligence and is expanding his practice into this field.

Adam accepts instructions in a range of inquests, acting on behalf of a variety of clients including bereaved families and other interested persons, public bodies and corporate entities.

As an experienced practitioner, both as a solicitor and latterly as a barrister, Adam has the excellent client care skills and the expertise needed to work sensitively with bereaved clients and help them navigate this painful process.
