Bharat commenced his specialist civil law pupillage in October 2021 under the supervision of Gemma Lieberman and Tim Wilkinson.
Bharat studied Law at the University of Warwick, graduating in 2016 with upper second class honours. Following his undergraduate degree he worked at two regional solicitors’ firms assisting senior fee earners across the breadth of civil litigation, including: debt recovery, landlord and tenant, commercial disputes, consumer credit, boundary disputes, and TOLATA and Inheritance Act claims.
Following this, Bharat studied at the University of Law in Leeds and achieved an Outstanding on the BPTC and a Distinction in his LLM. During his studies, Bharat assisted in a number of different Pro Bono projects and was the Inner Temple representative organising Qualifying Sessions for his peers on Circuit.
After the BPTC, Bharat worked as a catastrophic injury paralegal at a top ranked law firm in The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners focusing on brain and spinal cord injury cases.
Most recently Bharat worked as an in-house advocate at a leading international law firm carrying out hearings in county courts across the country, including: Stage 3 hearings, small claims track trials, credit hire claims and applications.

Prior to commencing pupillage, Bharat worked as an Advocate at an international solicitors’ firm specialising in Defendant Insurance Credit Hire work. Bharat is familiar with all areas of credit hire including need, impecuniosity, intervention and enforceability. Bharat is also able to represent Claimants in claims for credit hire.
Bharat has a growing personal injury practice representing Claimants and Defendants in road traffic accidents, Stage 3 hearings and procedural applications.
Bharat worked as a catastrophic injury paralegal at a top ranked law firm in The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners focusing on brain and spinal cord injury cases. He is seeking to develop this area of practice.
Part of Bharat’s pupillage has focused on employment law, this is a part of his practice that he is seeking to develop.
