Georgia Banks commenced her specialist civil law pupillage in October 2024 under the supervision of Jim Hester.

She studied LLB Law at the University of Sheffield, with a year abroad at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, graduating with first-class honours. She went on to achieve distinction in LLM Public International Law at Leiden University. She has participated in numerous moot competitions and won the national round of the Telders Moot. She was an intern at Amnesty International and conducted research for Human Rights in Practice.

As a public law senior caseworker, Georgia represented clients applying for immigration bail in the First Tier Tribunal.

She was awarded the Horace Avory Scholarship, Exhibition Scholarship and Duke of Edinburgh Entrance Award by the Inner Temple to complete the Bar Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy.

Prior to commencing pupillage, Georgia worked for two years as a paralegal to an experienced junior barrister at Temple Garden Chambers specialising in high value personal injury and clinical negligence claims. She drafted pleadings, considered case strategy and assisted with preparation for court hearings and JSMs.
