Rajni practices in all areas of family law, her main practice being children law.
Rajni is experienced representing a range of clients in public and private children law proceedings including Local Authorities, parents and children’s guardians. Rajni has delivered training and seminars for lawyers and social workers including court practice, supervision orders vs care orders at home and transparency in financial remedy proceedings. She has also written various articles which have been featured on Chambers’ website.
Rajni also accepts instructions in Court of Protection Health and Welfare and has experience in representing Local Authorities.
Prior to pupillage, Rajni worked as a family paralegal, where she gained experience in public children work and private child arrangements. Rajni participated in an online lecture series organised by 1 King’s Bench Walk Chambers. She spoke to law students about the procedural aspects of public children law and provided her experience of working in this area of law during the pandemic. Rajni volunteered at Southall Black Sisters, an organisation focused on assisting women and children who have suffered domestic abuse and other forms of gender-related violence.
