Parklane Plowden Barristers and Staff Raise Money Together to Support Local Charity
Our Senior Practice Director, Stephen Render, came across a LinkedIn post highlighting the vital work of Zarach, a Leeds-based charity dedicated to combating bed poverty among children in England.
Zarach was established by Bex Wilson, a primary school teacher in Burmantofts, Leeds, who was deeply moved after discovering that some of her students were without beds. This eye-opening experience inspired her to take action.
Stephen was equally taken aback by this issue and recognised that supporting Zarach would not only align with the spirit of charity during this season but also resonate with our Chambers’ vision of ‘Making a positive difference in all we do.’
In response to this call to action, our barristers and staff came together to raise an impressive £1,285, which will provide bed packages for eight children in need.
