Parklane Plowden Chambers launch Personal Injury Arbitration Service in response to the Coronavirus Crisis
12 May 2020

Parklane Plowden Chambers has launched a Personal Injury Arbitration Service to aid the progression of low to medium value matters during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Whilst ever the Court doors are shut and non-urgent cases are being adjourned to far-off dates (in some cases 2022), parties involved in personal injury litigation may be seeking alternative ways to resolve disputes. We hope that this new, impartial, and independent service will be attractive to both parties as it saves both time and money.

Our Personal Injury Arbitration Service is available on all Stage 3, Small Claim and Fast Track matters, specifically:

  • Small Claim Trials
  • Fast Track Trials
  • Disposal Hearings
  • Applications and Procedural Disputes
  • Costs Disputes

Many of our barristers are appointed as Recorders and Deputy District Judges and are therefore experienced in hearing cases of this nature. Papers can, of course, be emailed and all hearings will be conducted remotely via online platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business. Cases and hearings can also be dealt with on paper. This service does not preclude the parties from reverting to the court to determine the case.

For all enquires and hearing arrangements please email Arbitration@parklaneplowden.co.uk or call to speak to one of our Civil Clerks on 0113 228 5000.
