Parklane Plowden win Chambers of the Year at the 2017 Modern Claims Awards.
The awards ceremony, which took place at New Dock Hall in Leeds on the 27th April, celebrates cross industry success and talent.
This award win is particularly meaningful as Chambers is celebrating its 10-year anniversary following a successful merger in 2007 and significant managerial restructure in 2015.
Chambers has long been referred to as the ‘Powerhouse of the North’ but in recent years has focussed on developing niche pockets of expertise for which it receives national recognition. The specialist areas include fraud, clinical negligence, credit hire, catastrophic injury, sports law and inquests.
Chambers embraces modern business practices and responds quickly to market shifts. Not only is it one of only 4 chambers nationally appointed onto the first Admiral Insurance panel handling fraud, LVI and mid loss work, it has also been appointed by Admiral to handle MOJ cases using portal specially developed by Kennedys.
An outcome of the restructure has seen an emphasis on nurturing internal talent, with an intensive training/knowledge programme implemented in chambers. Junior members of chambers can share specific expertise, enabling them to learn and develop more quickly. The result of which, gives clients an even broader choice of counsel.
As Chambers celebrates its 10-year anniversary it continues to lead the way as the ‘next generation’ of chambers.
