We are delighted to be partnering with Clarion to host the next ‘Serious Injury Masterclass’ webinar, where a panel of experts in the field will share their knowledge and experience relating to serious injury claims.

9:30am – Introduction by Andrew McAulay (Chair). Andrew is a Partner at Clarion and the Head of the Costs and Litigation Funding team.
9:40am – Rhiannon Stokes, Clinical Director at Stokes Case Management, and Chris Simmons will share their experiences. Chris suffered a traumatic brain injury over 10 years ago and Rhiannon was his first case manager. Through a combination of team work, honesty and a highly personalised approach, Chris has been able to regain capacity and take back control of his finances.
10:00am – Warren Maxwell, Partner at Stewarts, will provide his thoughts on current hot topics in serious injury claims via a Q&Q with Andrew McAulay.
10:30am – Dr Ryan-Morgan, Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist, will be exploring the thorny issues of mental capacity assessment in case of serious brain injury using case illustrations.
10:50am – Sue Fox and Joanne Chase, Senior Associates at Clarion, will discuss costs management, revisions and detailed assessment for serious injury claims.
11:15am – District Judge Besford will highlight how the Courts would typically approach a detailed assessment for high-value injury work.
11:35am – Florence Maxwell, Senior Associate in the Commercial team at Clarion, will provide a quick overview of some of the data protection implications frequently faced when accessing documents and video footage (such as dashboard and body worn cameras) for the purposes of litigation.
11:55am – Andrew Axon, Barrister at Parklane Plowden Chambers, will discuss the financial consequences for those who have lost capacity to manage their finances.
